Dr. Pallavi N. Vartak, Principal, SMS & ET's College of Education, Talegaon dabhade, Pune, holds M. Sc. in Environmental Science and M. Ed with a Ph.D. in Education. She has passed the NET and SET in Education and has completed Post graduate diploma in Instructional design. She has a work experience of almost 15 years as Assistant Prof. She is well versed in Innovative Techniques in Education, Development of Skills for Effective Teaching and Multiple Intelligences based Teaching. She has conducted workshops on Creativity, Mind mapping, Co- operative learning, Emotional Intelligence, Study habits, Environmental Education, and many more in Symbiosis Centre for Distance learning & in various schools etc. She has been teaching Advance Pedagogy and ICT for last 8 years for SNDT and SPPU student teachers. She has conducted workshops for teachers of Govt. schools from Daund taluka in collaboration with Rotary club of Shivaji Nagar.

Dr. Vartak has worked as member of the Board of Studies for the PGDID Program of Symbiosis Centre for Distance Learning and has worked for content upgradation of the book on Instructional Design. She has presented and published several papers in National and International conferences, workshops and in journals. She is attached with "Samvad" school, for mentally retarded in Lonavla.
